Farid Ben Omar (BLACK BELT)
Farid is part of the first generation of BJJ practitioners in Holland who trained under Remco Pardoel. 1Before training BJJ Farid trained traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu in which he holds a brown belt. In 1999 Farid started training BJJ and in 2009 he became one of the first Dutch black belts. Farid received all his belts from Ze Marcello and he started teaching as a blue belt already. A very experienced teacher with a big heart for the sport.



His main titles are:
Champion of the Belgian Open
2nd place Dutch Championships



Jessie Gibbs (BLACK BELT)
After training Kyokushin Karate for 12 years and becoming a three times European champion, Jessie started training BJJ in 2003 under Cadu Francis.  1Jessie received his blue and purple belt from Cadu. He started competing MMA internationally also and won fights in Gran Canaria, South-Korea, Brasil and the US. In 2009 he received his black belt from the hands of Marco Barbosa.

His main titles are:
Dutch Champion BJJ
Most Outstanding Fighter M1





Remco van Baardewijk (BROWN BELT)
Started training BJJ in 2002 at home with a friend, learning from books.1 In 2003 when Cadu Francis came to Holland, Remco started training with him and learned all the basics under him. Remco received his blue and purple belt from Cadu. After Cadu left Holland, Remco trained with Augusto Ferrari and Vagner Boca who influenced his jiu jitsu a lot. Augusto is a student of Barbosa, who is Remco’s teacher. Remco went training with Barbosa several times in Brasil and Barbosa also visited Holland several times. Barbosa really inspired Remco and brought him to the next level in jiu jitsu. In 2008 Remco received his brown belt from Barbosa.

Remco teaches class in Den Haag, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

Winner of the Abu Dhabi Pro Trials





Henk Heneweer (PURPLE BELT)
1Henk trained 8 years of Kickboxing and fought several matches and also holds a black belt in Karate, but when he started training BJJ in 2004 he fell in love right away. He trained for some month with Cadu, and after a few years of training he got awarded his purple belt from Boca.
Henk is a really motivated and dedicated teacher that always accompanies his students to all the tournament. Trough his dedication his school in Almere (Kaishin) has been doing really well and growing a lot. As a fighter Henk competed a lot internationally also, is Dutch champion BJJ and won the prestigious Amsterdam Open.



Oliver Lemmer (PURPLE BELT)
1Oliver started training BJJ in 2004 under Cadu. He also trained under Augusto, Remco and Boca.He received his purple belt from Boca after several years of hard training. Besides BJJ, Oliver trained a lot of Thaiboxing for 12 years, fought several times and prepared fighters for their Thaiboxing fights. He has been teaching the MMA class in Amsterdam for the past 3 years.






Guest instructors

Marco Barbosa
Barbosa started training Judo when he was 11 years old. He made it to the Brazilian National Judo team, became 3-time Brazilian champion and competed at several international high-class judo tournaments including the 1991 Barcelona World Championships. In 1995 he started to train BJJ and in 1997 he already became a world champion for the first time. In total Barbosa won 4 world titles and also won the open class at the Worlds, even though he is a lightweight! Barbosa started teaching BJJ in 2000 and his school has conquered several medals at the World Championships. A very charismatic person, the team is always really excited to receive him here in Holland.


Carlos Eduardo ´Cadu´ Francis
Cadu came to Holland in 2003 and gave the jiu jitsu scene here a great impulse. Under him the Team Agua teachers and older students learned the basics. In 2006 Cadu left Holland and after training 6 months in Barbosa´s academy, he won bronze at the Worlds in Rio de Janeiro. Nowadays Cadu has his school in San Diego and trains with Saulo and Xande Ribeiro. They have brought him to the next level as a black belt.


Augusto Ferrari
Augusto is a student under Barbosa and a silver medalist at the Worlds. He is also a Brazilian national champion. In 2006 Augusto stayed several months in Holland teaching. Augusto is known for his creative jiu jitsu and in his seminars you will always learn some techniques you have never seen before.

 

Eduardo ´Dudu´ Nascimento
Dudu trained several years under Terere at the famous TT school where he lived in the academy together with stars like Andre Galvao, Cobrinha, Michael Langhi and Lucas Lepri. He stayed here until his brown belt, when the TT team ended. That is when he went to train with Barbosa under whose tutelage he received the black belt and won a bronze medal at the Worlds.


Vagner ´Boca´ Guimaraes
Boca received his black belt under Terere and also lived and trained at the famous TT academy. Boca spent some months in Holland teaching classes and has a very successful academy in the Northeast of Brasil, in Joao Pessoa. His students have won several medals at the Worlds. Boca´s jiu jitsu is straight forward and aggressive.
