Lots of medals for Team Agua at the Den Haag Open BJJ & Grappling. We went with competitors from Den Haag, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Every school got medals at different levels; from white till purple, from light to heavyweight, from BJJ to Grappling. Up to the next!
We will go to the annual tournament the Den Haag BJJ & Grappling Open with team members of all our branches; Amsterdam, Den Haag & Rotterdam For some of the guys this will be their first experience competing, for some their last time as a white belt! For others this will be just another competition, but with the benefit of being closeby with more friends and family as spectator.
Pedro Elias came to our academy in Rotterdam fresh of his win at the Europeans BJJ held in Lisbon. He showed us some nice variations and slick moves from closed guard. After which he smashed the guys in sparring!
This picture was taken after the Thursday night class. Mon-Wed-Friday were already packed, but with the new schedule of BJJ every night, Tuesday kinda lagged behind. Not anymore ! 🙂
Lots of medals for the team at the Rotterdam BJJ & Grappling Open! Seth & Bas with their hardware. Alwin gets another gold medal. Li wins silver at the Rotterdam Grappling Open. Ozcan faced these two giants and won gold. Petr made his comeback and took the gold. Seth, feeling hungry after the weight cut.
First tournament of the year is the Rotterdam BJJ & Grappling Open. We will be present with team members from Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Den Haag. Prepping has begun!

Competing for a ticket to go to Abu Dhabi to fight in the World championships, Jesmine lost her fight in the finals by a referee warning in the last 20 seconds while ahead on points. No ticket, still silver though. Chango got 1st in his weight class and third in the Open. Our white belts beat several blue belts resulting in gold for Robert Wijtsma and bronze for Falko Evers.
